The award rewards quality and consistency across eligible Festival of Showjumping classes.
The award is open to riders competing in eligible Festival of Showjumping classes. Eligible classes and exclusions are managed in the official leaderboard backend and reflected in the published standings.
Points are awarded to the top six placegetters in each eligible class. Points already account for class weighting - no additional calculation required.
| Tier | 1st | 2nd | 3rd | 4th | 5th | 6th |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Tier 1 - 1.10m-1.20m | 6 | 5 | 4 | 3 | 2 | 1 |
| Tier 2 - 1.25m-1.35m | 12 | 10 | 8 | 6 | 4 | 2 |
| Tier 3 - 1.40m-1.45m | 18 | 15 | 12 | 9 | 6 | 3 |
| Tier 4 - 1.50m & Feature | 24 | 20 | 16 | 12 | 8 | 4 |
Only a rider's six highest-scoring results across the competition week count toward their total. This prevents the award being won purely through volume of entries, and ensures quality and consistency at the right level determines the winner.
In the event of a tie on total points, the award is determined by the rider with the greatest number of points accumulated in the highest tier of competition, applied in descending order from Tier 4. If two riders are tied on total points, the rider with more Tier 4 points wins. If Tier 4 points are also equal, the comparison moves to Tier 3, then Tier 2, and so on.
